Bird's Eyes

Every time I visit the house, this bird watches me. 

I know it's only a fake, decorative cardinal left behind by the previous tenants, but the bird has its eyes on me.  It is perched on the rafters and it watches me. 

The bird is in stealth-mode in the rafter shadows.

It's creepy.  I feel as if its eyes slowly follow me wherever I go. 

BF never threw it away because he thought my reaction to the creepy bird was funny. I don't think it's funny at all. 

One weekend morning, I visited the house by myself.  I found the creepy bird in this position.  I didn't touch the bird.  BF swears he never touched it either.  Is it a sign?
